Thank you to Stacey Earle and Mark Stuart for a wonderful session in the studio today.

They sang and played their own songs If You Change your MindLittle Rock and Spread My Wings.

From their new album Dedication, we played Broken Heart For You and Here Comes The Rain.

Stacey and Mark are nearing the end of their lengthy European tour - they have travelled everywhere by public transport - and are appearing locally at The Bridge in Topsham this Wednesday 30 June.

Galley Beggar Live

Many thanks to the fabulous 6-piece band Galley Beggar who played on rootsandshoots today.  They played four songs: Willow Tree, The Wicker Man, Jack Orion and Lucy Grey.

Today we celebrated two bass players who have sadly died recently: Donald "Duck" Dunn who played with Booker T and the MGs of "Green Onions" fame and Lloyd Brevett, founding member of the seminal Jamaican ska band The Skatalites. Lots of other good music too from near and far.
